Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

The Ideal community is committed to providing a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone, regardless of experience level, background, identity, or perspective.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Disagreement is fine; hostility is not.
  • Be constructive. When giving feedback on patches or ideas, focus on the work and suggest improvements rather than criticizing the person.
  • Be patient. Contributors have varying levels of experience and may work in different time zones. Allow reasonable time for responses.
  • Be concise. Respect others' time. Keep messages and reviews focused and on-topic.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory language.
  • Harassment in any form, public or private.
  • Publishing others' private information without consent.
  • Sustained disruption of discussions.

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all Ideal community spaces, including the mailing lists, issue tracker, and any other channels where project members interact.

Enforcement

Instances of unacceptable behavior may be reported by emailing the project lead directly. All reports will be reviewed and handled with discretion. The project lead reserves the right to remove, edit, or reject contributions and to restrict participation from anyone whose behavior violates this code of conduct.
